Welcome! I’m so happy you made it here! Taking the steps to begin therapy can feel like a daunting task. My goal is to make this as easy as possible for you.

My name is Helena Kappelmann, I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with my Bachelor's and Master’s in social work. Go Owls! Currently, I hold an RCSWI (sounds like alphabet soup right?). RCSWI is the title awarded to post-master degree clinicians seeking clinical licensure. (For more information about this, please see the bottom of this page titled ‘RCSWI’.)

During my graduate program, I taught first grade and was eventually promoted to Behavior Specialist in a middle school. I am a certified school guidance counselor for grades PK-12 and am familiar with IEP and 504 plans.

I decided to continue my clinical journey and accepted a position at a leading eating disorder residential center as a primary therapist. Here, I learned I had a passion for helping people with eating disorders discover their identity without ED.

Now, I’ve decided to take the next steps in my career and join a private practice in Sunrise, Florida.
